The Second Trumpet

The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain ablaze with fire was hurled into the sea. So a third of the sea became blood, a third of living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed. Revelation 8:8

This ball of fire could be a meteor, an asteroid, in could be a huge volcanic eruption. It amazes me how many movies are written about such a time as this, the annihilation of earth as we know it; or life on earth as we know it; invasion by beings from outer space; world wide destruction through war. The scenarios continue as if mankind are role playing so that when it happens they know what to do.

There are space telescopes that track asteroids. Only this past year we had one, the size of a city block zoom by, 11 moon distances away. Some asteroids are 600 miles across. Now that one would do substantial damage. Our solar system has an asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. 

Whatever the cause none consider the wrath of God, perhaps the wrath of demons but not God yet God is the scapegoat when natural disasters strike.

My prayer is that people repent and come to their senses. Yet scripture indicate otherwise. How can mankind, as a collective deal with the wrath of God?  What defence can they implement against the creator of the universe? Crazy!! 

If we know this is coming then it behoves us to be elsewhere, like before the throne of God. How do we be there? By accepting Christ as Lord, simple!
