The Seventh Trumpet
The seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven saying:
The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Messiah, and He will reign for ever and ever!
The 24 elders, who were seated before God on their thrones, fell face down and worshipped God, saying:
We thank You, Lord God, the Almighty, who is and who was, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign.
The nations were angry, but Your wrath has come for the dead to be judged and to give reward to Your servants the prophets, to the saints, and to those who fear Your name, both small and great, and the time has come to destroy those who destroy the earth.
God's sanctuary in heaven was opened, and the ark if the covenant appeared in His sanctuary. There were flashes of lightening, rumblings of thunder, an earthquake, and severe hail. Revelation 11:15-19
What a blessed task the seventh angel has. What all have longed for, what the saints have asked for, what in my heart of hearts I long for, the prayer: ' may Your Kingdom come, Your will be done', had come.
The past 6 trumpets have heralded God's power, judgement and might. He has at last shown His vengeance. The world and its inhabitants have seen what God can do. His might and glory not only displayed in mighty acts on the earth and in the heavens, He protected the two witnesses until death and then rose them up and took them to Himself. He is God! He is undefeatable! He is great and mighty! The earth is about to experience His rulership and know what a great and mighty God He is. His people have discovered Him in His displays, they are about to experience all they have waited for.
He is worthy of all praise! The 24 elders have it right: ' You have taken Your great power and begun to reign.'
The ark of the covenant appears in the throne room. The earthy ark was a copy of the heavenly one. It represented God's presence with His people.
Along with the establishment of God's Kingdom is the power display of thunder, lightening and hail. No wonder I love storms. Amen!
