The sixth Trumpet

The sixth angel blew his trumpet. From the four horns of the gold altar that is before God, I heard a voice say to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, "release the four angels bound at the great river Euphrates." So the four angels who were prepared for the hour, the day, month, and year were released to kill a third of the human race. The number of mounted troops was 200 million; I heard their number. This is how I saw the horses in my vision: the horsemen had breastplates that were fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulphur yellow. The heads of the horses were like lion's heads, and from their mouth came fire, smoke, and sulphur. A third of the human race was killed by these three plagues- by the fire, the smoke and the sulphur that came from their mouths. For the power of the horses is in their mouths and in their tails, for their tails, which resembled snakes, have heads, and they inflict injury with them.

The rest of the people, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands to stop worshipping demons and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood, which are not able to see, hear, or walk. And they did not repent of their murders, their sorceries, their sexual immorality, or their thefts. Revelation 9:13-21

Imagine 200 million troops invading your land. Such a mass would strike fear into every heart. Who are they? Are they actual human armies or demonic armies?

We have seen arms build up in various nations. When we see North Korea and China assemble their armies it reminds me of Hitler. We know Iran is arming itself, yet who are the three? Where are they going? Are they on the way to strike at Israel? Is this the build up for Armageddon?

If this is a natural army and we are seeing all this right now, amidst terrorism and civil unrest then the end cannot be far away.

I am more excited by the salvation that is happening around the earth and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

Already at this stage in the unfolding of Revelation it is believed that the earth is approximately 51/2 to 6 years into the tribulation. Further, up to this point several billion people would have died and now a 1/3 of the remaining will die. Some think this woe will last for 13 months. Not a good place to be!

For those who are left, finding salvation in Christ would be the best protection possible. He is the only saviour. Amen!
