The Finality of Babylon"s Fall

Then a mighty angel picked up a stone like a large milestone and threw it into the sea, saying:
" in this way, Babylon the great city will be thrown down violently and never be found again.
The sound of harpists, musicians, flutists, and trumpeters will never be heard in you again;
The craftsman of any trade will ever be found in you again; 
The sound of a mill will never be heard in you again;
The light of a lamp will never shine in you again;
The voice of the groom and bride will never be heard in you again.
All this will happen because your merchants were like the nobility of e earth,
Because all nations were deceived by your sorcery, 
And the blood of the prophets and saints, and all of those slaughtered on earth, was found in you.
Revelation 18:21-24

It would almost be a relief to know that all that was and failed is gone. The world is reeling from all the plagues, the earthquake and now the financial system completely fails, all is gone.

The great city, representing the seat of financial power is completely destroyed.

Where would you start?everything you had believed in, everything you had cherished, everything that consumed your time is now gone.

If the financial system has failed, your world is a mess, how would you eat, what would you eat, how would you buy?

Already in my city we see police reports of break and enter crimes. The thieves are now violent, they prey on the elderly. If money is no more then what will be precious? Would a system of barter begin again?

All that was has to go for the new is coming. Praise God!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
