The Marriage of the Lamb

Then I heard something like the voice of a vast multitude, like the sound of cascading waters, and like the rumbling of loud thunder, saying: 

Hallelujah, because our Lord God the Almighty, has begun to reign!

Let us be glad, rejoice, and give Him glory,

Because the marriage of the Lamb has come,

And His wife has prepared herself.

She was given fine linen to wear, bright and pure.

For the fine linen represents the righteous acts of the saints.

Then he said to me,  "Write: those invited to the marriage feast of the Lamb are fortunate! He also said to me, "These words of God are true." Then I fell at his feet and worshipped him, but he said to me, "Don"t do that! I am a fellow slave with you and your brothers who have the testimony about Jesus. Worship God, because the testimony about Jesus is the spirit of prophesy." Revelation 19: 6-10

The vast throng heard praising The Lord are so many, what a feast!

The actual awareness of this event has not hit the earth yet. As the final battle had not occurred, but heavens sees a thing before earth. It is a done deal. We will experience the marriage feast no matter what earthling do, they are powerless to stop it.

Linen was the garment given to priests to wear and here linen is given to us, His bride, to wear at the marriage feast.

In Jewish marriage festivals the groom leads a procession to the bride's house and then back to his house to celebrate. The Lord is coming for His bride and will take us to His house for the feast. It will last for quite a while, all eternity.

Our Lord has waited so long for this day, He longs to be with His bride, He cherishes the one who has made herself ready for Him.

The angel said to John: " those invited to the marriage feast are fortunate!" We are indeed. Many are invited but how many will come? Jesus told parables about marriage feasts and many who made excuses not to come, many we not be one of those. Amen!
