The rider on a white horse

Then I saw heaven opened, and there was a white horse. It's rider is called Faithful and True, and He judges and makes war in righteousness. His eyes were like a fiery flame, and many crowns were on His head. He had a name written that no one knows except Himself. He wore a robe stained with blood, and His name is the word of God. The armies that were in heaven followed Him on white horses, wearing pure white linen. A sharp sword came from His mouth, so that He might strike the nations with it. He will shepherd them with an iron sceptre.he will also trample the wine press of the fierce anger of God, the Almighty. And He has a name written on His robe and on His thigh:
King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Revelation 19:11-16

Every girl loves to dream of a knight in shining armour, perhaps thus is why. We are destined for the greatest hero of all, King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Jesus is no longer gentle. He has a sharp two edged sword to meter out justice. He will rule with a sceptre of iron. Iron is not gentle, it is hard and heavy and strong. He has a job to do, trample the wine press of God's fierce anger. This is a champion, a warrior who is going to war.

Best of all, He wins! Amen!!!!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
