Bold Prayers
"If Your presence does not go with us, don't make us go up from here. How will it be known that I and Your people have found favor in Your sight unless You go with us," said Moses.
"I and Your people will be distinguished by this from all other people on the face of the earth."
The Lord answered Moses, " I will do this very thing you have asked, for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name."
"Then Moses said, " please, let me see Your glory." Exodus 33:15-18
Moses started out doubting God would use Him with Pharaoh and now he was daring to challenge God to accompany the children of Israel. He received his requested answer and then moved on to more.... Let me see Your glory!
I love this bold approach. I am inclined to be the same and Moses makes it ok for me to enter into the presence of God boldly.
Today, in Moree, NSW, Australia I was in McDonalds waiting for my order when a 5 year old girl marched up to her mother with hands on hips boldly declaring something which amused her and her mother. They both enjoyed the exchange, as did I, the casual observer.
This reminds me of Moses and God and myself and God. He is my Father and I love to be His daughter and boldly declare my desire of His attention. He loves it! Try it!
