Conviction

On the 24th day of this month the Israelites assembled, they were fasting, wearing sackcloth, and had out dust on their heads. Those of Israelite descent separated themselves from all foreigners, and they stood and confessed their sins and the guilt of their fathers. While they stood in their places, they read from the book of e law of The Lord their God for a 4th of the day and spent another 4th of the day in confession and worship of The Lord their God. Nehemiah 9:1-3

As we sit under the word of God we are convicted of our God's righteousness, His holiness and how we have sinned and missed the mark. I find just by being in church I will receive revelation that I didn't know I needed or desired. However, because I come seeking The Lord and love His word it speaks to me.

There are times when freedom comes and I rejoice, other times conviction comes and I come into a time of repentance and freedom and change of my future ways.

Gathering together with believers in a place you belong is important as is going to church with a heart that loves the word of God and is open to receive. Being in the right place at the right time frees you to receive. I have seen people not receive either because they do not love the word and the revelation it brings or they are in the wrong place. In both of these we must trust The Lord to be God and lead us to truth and deliverance.

If we fail to submit to the word of God we are submitting to doctrines of demons and the authority they claim. Here is bondage, sickness and poverty. As God says: " i call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that today I put before you life and death, blessing and curse. Choose life that you and your descendants might live." Deuteronomy 30:19

As Christians we will live as we seek The Lord with all our hearts, minds and being and put His ways first. We cannot live in the world and love the things of the world more than Him, it does not work.
