Dedication

At the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem, they sent for the Levites wherever they lived and brought them to Jerusalem to celebrate the joyous dedication with thanksgiving and singing accompanied by cymbals, harps, and lyres. Nehemiah 12:27

The wall had been completed, the people had gathered to hear the word of The Lord and were beginning to put their lives in order, the people had cast lots as to who now resided in Jerusalem. Nehemiah had instituted procedures and reinstated laws. Now it was time to dedicate all that had been done.

The wall had to be rebuilt but then it had to be dedicated to The Lord. By dedicating it to The Lord it became His and holy to The Lord.

As we rebuild godliness in our lives, our families and our businesses they need to be dedicated to The Lord. He must come first, His ways be our ways, His lights our thoughts.

We are about to have a new government in Australia. Part of the ceremony is the pray of dedication to uphold righteousness. The leaders are prayed for by prominent minister in our land.

We are instructed to pray for our leaders so that all will go well for us and to honour those who are chosen. I pray that godliness will rule our nation.

Our lives are not segregated into God stuff and our stuff, he is integral and must be leader of all. His ways are best, His thoughts much higher and when allowed to rule lead to life and fulfilment.

There is far too much sickness in the church. We need to return to our first love and live the life of a Christian, let Him be Lord! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
