Jesus Prays For His Disciples

I have revealed Your Name to the men You gave Me from the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. John 17:6

The whole of chapter 17 is a prayer Jesus prayed, it has been captured by John. It is a beautiful prayer which displays how Jesus prayed to the Father.

In the verse above He is praying for His disciples.

Each of us has been given a reach of people to influence in our lifetime. We are display Christ, not ourselves. Our epitaph should read:' when you saw ..... You saw Christ.' There's the rub! What do people see?

I am blessed to have 700 odd clients given to me and I seek to care for them as God would have me do. Yesterday, in the course of an interview a client disclosed how low he was and I talked about how Christ made the difference to me and offered to pray for him.

Previously in the day I met a woman who has a family member facing cancer, I had previously told her I would pray and I have. I love these people and pray Christ into their worlds. I pray all I do causes them to see Christ. This is important as my industry has had a few failures and I must act in integrity towards them.

This life is not about you, it is about others. The lost and hurting need you. Be the light and salt they need! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
