Pray Constantly
Pray constantly. 1 Thessalonians 5::17
The real widow (divorcee), left all alone, has put her hope in God and continues night and day in her petitions and prayers; however, she who is self-indulgent is dead even while she lives. 1 Tim 5:5,6
Having a heart that goes to prayer instead of complaining is having a heart that our God delights in. Divorce and widowhood are unpleasant and fraught with difficulties: loneliness, fear and anxiety can be prevalent but really there is only One who can calm the storm, only One who cares deeply enough to stay through it all.
Our God promises to provide all our needs and we have to trust Him for He is worthy of our trust. If we experience lack, perhaps we are trying to convert worldly wants into needs. I have allowed The Lord to show me, exactly, what are my needs, these He never fails in.
Past experiences are not a guarantee of future experiences. We must allow God to create the new, take our hands off, give it all to Him and watch Him go.
Prayer needs to be more about others than me. If I have the ability to pray, then I am safe. My prayer should be for those who cannot pray and are lost.
Prayer should underpin all, soak all, uplift all! Give it a try! Start with being grateful for all you have: breath, sun, moon, sky, birds, animals, food, shelter. You are blessed! Start saying so! Amen!
