Prayers of Praise

Yahweh, our Lord, how magnificent is Your name throughout the earth!
You have covered the heavens with Your majesty.
Because of Your adversaries, You have established a stronghold from the mouths of children and nursing infants to silence the enemy and the avenger.
When I observe Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You set in place, what is man that You remember him? The son of man that You look after him?
You made him little less than God and crowned him with glory and honour.
You made him lord over the works of Your hands;
You put everything under his feet;
All the sheep and oxen, as well as the animals in the wild, the birds of the sky, and the fish of the seas.
Yahweh, our Lord, how magnificent is Your name throughout the earth. Psalm 8

This is a psalm of David. This man knew his God and how to worship. David had much to complain about as he was being pursued by Saul for years, at times he despaired of life, yet he went to God, sought His solace and His answers.

At times of great distress and difficulty I have gone to worship and sought The Lord. He is the one with the answers, He is the deliverer and He is Lord of all.

Make sure that you have worship music at hand, if technologically savvy on your iPhone, iPad or some such. With earphones you can plug into worship at any time, it turns your heart towards God, as you worship you are cleansed of all that troubles you.

I have Bluetooth in my car and as I travel I worship, worship makes God God of the moment, it brings His atmosphere into rulership and out of His kingdom comes the answers. The answers must come from Him or you will walk in the flesh and destroy instead of create.

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
