Seek The Lord

Seek The Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near.
"For My thoughts are not Your thoughts, and your ways are not My ways." This is the Lord's declaration. "For as heaven is higher than the earth, so are My ways are higher than your ways and My you guts than your thoughts."Isaiah 55:6, 8,9

Before I came to Christ I endeavoured to find Him through my own means but He had a plan. His path led me to His door and there He opened up to me.

I remember the dullness and the longing. Yet when the light went on joy came and although I have been severely tested I hang on to Him, for He is God, He is faithful and never gives up on me.

I see so many struggling to be righteous in their own strength, it is impossible. The simple way of surrender is the only path to salvation.

God's thoughts towards me are so much better than I could imagine. His plans for me so much higher. I praise Him!

Seek Him, You will find Him when you want Him with all your heart. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
