At Rest

For it was not David who ascended into the heavens, but he himself says:
The Lord declared to my lord! 'sit at my right hand until I make Your enemies Your footstool."
Therefore let all the house of Israel know with certainty that Gid made this Jesus, who you crucified, both Lord and Messiah!" Acts 2:34-36

David prophesied about Jesus. Jesus had now ascended to heaven and is now seated at the right hand of the Father. He is at rest. His work is completed! Now He is watching and waiting for this word to be completed.

I am in Christ, I am also seated with Him in the heavenlies. I can be at rest and partake of this promise. Each of us has an enemy and it manifests in various ways. We can take our rest in Him and expect our enemies to be made a footstool also.

Last night I went to a dinner called: 'Guess who's coming to dinner?' It is a Rotary thing. I dined with others at a home where the couple hosting had lived for 28 years. We heard their history and they had made huge sacrifices in their younger days to live in this house. They are now enjoying the fruits of their labour.

Each one of us has a story and each one of us has laboured in some way. Yet Christ's labour was for us. He paid the price of our peace and our rest. We have the ability to enjoy the fruits of his labour. Amen!

I must take my rest in Him or I will wear myself out with grief over what has been lost. He has a plan and I must trust Him. Amen!
