But God
After this Jesus revealed Himself again to his disciples by the Sea of Tiberiias. He revealed Himself in this way:
Simon Peter, Thomas, Nathaniel from Cana of Galilee, Zebedee's sons and two other disciples were together. "I'm going fishing," Simon Peter said to them.
"We're coming with you, " they told him.
They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.
When daybreak came, Jesus stood on the shore. However, the disciples did not know It was Jesus.
"Men,"Jesus called to them, you don't have any fish do you?"
"No," they answered.
"Cast the net on the right side of the boat," He told them, "and you'll find some." So they did, and were unable to haul it in because of the large number of fish. Therefore, the disciple, the one Jeaus loved, said to Peter, "It is The Lord!" John 21:1-7
Often Jesus is in our world and we are unaware. We make plans and they seem to bear no fruit until we are bid, "try this," or "try that," and then we recognise He as there all along.
When we try His suggestions an abundance is the result. The disciples fished all night and were close to returning to shore empty handed. I have experienced this and suddenly there is a 'but God', moment.
Again we see Jesus at His best in relationship. He was there, prepared with a good word and fish for breakfast. There is always more.
Don't allow your circumstances to define you. Make room for God. Yesterday I had a day where my plans seemed ruined. I received a phone call about a deceased estate which was messing with my world. Things were not going good and to top it off, as a woman, I was emotional because the client had left a note to his family saying how good I had been and that I was praying for him. Yesterday I learned more about this client and how he died and who was affected, not good.
To top things off I discovered that plans I had put in place to benefit the family had gone all wrong and it looked like I would carry the blame. I did all I could do and then went to The Lord and asked for mercy and grace.
You know I have never had The Lord knock me back. He is good and He is God. He whispered "you have it." I have not seen evidence of this yet but I have to trust and allow Him to do what ahe does best: 'mercy and grace.'
You cannot solve every problem but He can. Amen!
