Deliverance from Evil Plans

Then Peter came to himself and said, "Now I know for certain that The Lord has sent His angel and rescued me from Herod's grasp and from all that the Jewish people expected."
When he realised this he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John Mark, where many had assembled and were praying. He knocked at the door in the gateway, and a servant named Rhonda came to answer. She recognised Peter's voice, and because of her joy, she did not open the gate but ran in and announced that Peter was standing in the gateway.
"You're crazy!" They told her, but she kept insisting that it was true. Then they said, "It's his angel!" Peter, however, kept on knocking and when they opened the door and saw him they were astounded.
Acts 12:11-16

Both Peter and the disciples were amazed at his deliverance from prison. Peter knew that Jesus had told him how he would die, perhaps he wondered if now was his time. The Lord had plenty for Peter to do.

The fact that the disciples were gathered praying for Peter shows that they were wanting a miracle. I wonder if they prayed for one? Have you ever prayed for a miracle and then been astounded that you received one?

We cannot give more power to what is against us than God does. If my bible tells me: 'if God be for me, who can be against me? (Romans 8:31)

As we yield our lives to Jesus He can be trusted with our all. His plan is greater than ours. Let Him, not your circumstances, lead you. Amen!
