He is Before Me

For David said of Him: I saw The Lord ever before me because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced. Moreover, my flesh will rest in hope, because You will not leave me in Hades or allow Your Holy One to see decay. You have revealed the paths of life to me; you will fill me with gladness in Your presence. Acts 2:25-28

This is what Jesus experienced. He had said Himself:"' I only do what I see the Father do." The Lord is constantly saying to me: " Look at Me!" As my eyes are on Him the howling enemy is dim, the seducing voices are dull, and my flesh is in control.

Therefore I can say: " Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and I will rejoice. My flesh will rest in hope because I will see my God and live with Him for eternity."

I think my flesh can rest in the hope of the gospel. I am saved and redeemed but more by His stripes I am made whole. He is my saviour and healer.

My soul rejoices because I know the same discipline that Jesus portrayed in His focus of the cross is mine in my focused walk. Why am I here? What is my purpose? I have a task to complete. Amen!

You have revealed the paths of life to me; You will fill me with gladness in Your presence. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
