Let Go!

After He had said this, He was taken up as they were watching, and a cloud took Him out of their sight. While He was going, they were gazing into heaven, and suddenly two men in white clothes stood by them. They said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up into heaven? This Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come in the same way that you have seen Him going into heaven." Acts 1:9-11

The disciples were looking at their past. They had to be reminded of the future.

Again, Jesus had told them this would happen and again they needed to be reminded, sounds like us.

When our life as we know it comes to an end there is no use gazing after it. It is gone! At this moment, what is God saying? What does His word say?

Trust Me!

It is so easy to stay in the past for it is all we know, let it go!

In our grieving we can settle for less than God plans and when we see the new we debate if we want it, being so comfortable in a less than situation. It is time to take a step of faith and go! Amen! Go!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
