Ordinary Folk Used by God

In the church that ws at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius the Cyrenians, Manaen, a close friend of Herod the tetra he and Saul. Acts 13:1

I love the way the Holy Spirit chooses a person and gifts them for service. Imagine Manaen being a close friend of Herod and witnessing his antics in attempting to shut down the Christians, before his death. Have you ever been the best friend of an evil villain? 

Imagine the Holy Spirit planning the salvation of Manaen! How clever is He? What a strategist!

We could be the ordinary folk who He chooses to use! He is constantly setting me up. I will think: 'okay time to wind down and get ready for my holiday next week, well the end of next week really. My 60th is on Tuesday and on Wednesday I was planning to travel, leisurely, to Lismore for a two day conference, before heading off to Brisbane for a break before Christmas. Today I had a call from a client in Armidale wanting to see me. Boom goes the leisurely trip, but up comes contact with people.

Today I had a similar experience. A woman called and needed help. I thought it would take all of 15 minutes but it turns out she really needed my assistance to live better in retirement, another plan.

This woman I will love to care for. I know this is a God sent client.

On Saturday I decided to read a book called:the Supernatural Ways of Royalty. It set me on fire. On Sunday I went to church hungry to help be a mother to the motherless. There was a presentation about how a scripture teacher ministered the gospel to Joel A Bell and now Joel is used by God mightily at Hillsong. I knew I had to become involved, I've signed up. I want fire in my life not boring mundane same old same old. I want the prophesy that was in me to revive, I want the teacher I know that is there to arise.

Today at work I spoke prophetically over an employee( I actually encouraged her to be what God had made her), she rejoiced that I believed in her. It is not hard when you see, I can see!

Our Gid has gifts He wants to give to His people if they would only open their hearts to the Kingdom of God instead of the world. Great things await those who dare! Go on I dare you! Amen!

Know Your Sword!

So he took Him to Jerusalem, had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, "if you are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here. Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
