Passing Through Troubles

After they had evangelised that town and made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, to Iconium, and to Antioch, strengthening the disciples by encouraging them to continue in the faith and by telling them, "It is necessary to pass through many troubles on our way to the Kingdom of God." Acts 14:21,22

None of us want to hear this. We all want to be 'happy'. We think it is our right and continually strive for it. So, what is Paul saying? Notice he says 'pass through' many troubles. If anyone could say this it would be Paul. He was beaten, stones, scourged, shipwrecked and that is just the beginning. Yet he managed to 'pass through' many troubles.

Ok! So how do I 'pass through' many troubles? The book of Revelation says: ' they overcame him(Satan) by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony.' Rev 12:11

Christians have a Saviour who has paid the price ( the blood of the Lamb) and the next key is very important: ' the word of their testimony'. What you 'say' will come to pass. If you say: I am so fat or I am so lazy, you become those things. Yet if you say:" If God be for me then who can be against me.' Romans 8:31, nothing will stand against you, unless you undo your confession with something negative. This is just like building a house and then tearing it down the next day. Crazy!!!

Years ago The Lord gave me a dream about a bus driving down the road and on either side tornadoes were spiking. All in the bus were fearful, yet I knew we would be ok and kept encouraging the people. It got worse but still I knew we would be ok and said so. God spoke to me and said He was pleased because I was a woman of faith. I am learning to be that woman, but God sees me as I will be. How cool is that?

He will never leave you or forsake you, just keep your eyes on Him and He will bring you through. Amen!
