The Holy Spirit

When the day of Pentecost had arrived, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like that of a violent rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were staying. And tongues, like flames of fire that were divided, appeared to them and rested on each one of them. Then they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different languages, as the Spirit gave them ability for speech. Acts 2:1-4

The disciples waited in prayer and then the Holy Spirit showed up in an almighty way. The disciples knew they needed the baptism in the Holy Spirit to do what they were commissioned to do.

The Holy Spirit did not disappoint. He was faithful to do what Jesus said He would do, and more. They knew they would receive power when He came but they never imagined that His coming would be so spectacular.

God's plans are not ours and He definitely has an agenda, it is important that we do not or we will miss His coming.

Today, I am processing an outpouring of blessing and know that I must stay close to Him and not move on in myself thinking: 'I can do it now!' No! There is so much more that I can see and learn and heights I can go to if I stay close.

In all my ways I must honour Him and love Him, first! I must stay wih His programme and not strike out on a different path. To do this I must lay myself down and die to flesh and live to Him. Amen!

Sir Richard Branson says what he likes about Nelson Mandela is his consistent honesty and having no hidden agenda. I could add to that, pure motives.

What do I want people to remember about me? She humbly walked with her God! Amen!
