What a Message

There were Jews living in Jerusalem, devout men from every nation under heaven, when this sound occurred, a crowd came together and was confused because each one heard them speaking in his own language. Acts 2: 5:-7

This would be much like, for example, a similar thing happening in say New York. Now New York is definitely multi-cultural. Imagine the Holy Spirit doing the same thing there. A group of ordinary white Caucasians being able to speak: Aramaic, Hindi, Lebanese, Spanish, Arabic, Italian, Greek. 

The same could be said for Sydney Australia. Sydney has a diverse culture the same as New York and a few extras thrown in. We have foreign speaking cab drivers. Today I had as Irishman call me trying to tell me something about a client and he was very hard to hear. We have a lot of Asians as well. Now imagine the Holy Spirit comes with a loud noise into the centre, in a local gathering place. You all have been in such a place and someone is on a soap box trying to attract attention. We all know that the more spectacular the more attention they will receive.

Say, for example a group of Japanese suddenly start speak fluent English, Italian, Greek, Lebanese, Jewish etc now that would draw the crowd.

Well, the crowd is gathered and now they hear the gospel preached by Peter. Suddenly the silly fisherman is an orator. This fact alone commands attention. What they now hear smites them to the core and they come to repentance. Amen!
