Warriors of Light
This ( the fact that only those who knew Jesus personally had the power to cast out demons) became known both to Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.
And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds.
Also many who had practised magic brought their books and burned them in the sight of all and they counted up the value of them, and it totalled 50,000 pieces of silver.
So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed. Acts 19:17-20
The Holy Spirit is pure and unpolluted and when given room to be just what He is by those walking in faith, He demonstrates the chasm that exists between light and darkness. The light dispels the darkness, always, revealing truth and when truth is revealed, liberty is experienced by those formerly caught in the clutches of bondage.
We cannot successfully push the Holy Spirit to the side and run things our own way, because our enemy knows truth. (even though he fails to walk in it)
When we endeavour to run things ourselves then we are at the mercy of our malevolent nemesis who knows his limits and knows ours. He is cunning and if we choose to walk foolishly and not live like the saints we are professing to be, he has us in his web.
Yet, when a child of God walks in the light, he/she is a force to be reckoned with. For as we release the Kingdom of God, the power of the Holy Spirit is demonstrated and darkness is brought to it's knees.
Our God is great and rules over all. We may think we do but we are setting ourselves up for a prison life. A life without truth is a stale crust when we could be feasting on fresh bread, the bread of life.
When we walk in the light prisoners are set free. The Christian's mandate is to liberate those caught in darkness, we are the warrior of the light. What a calling!!! Amen!
