Word and Presence

So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified." Acts 20:32

Our God and His Word are the cornerstones if our faith, they are the source and supply of all we need.

The word of God; written and revealed, gives direction, challenges sin that attempts to control, and bring life to dead areas in our lives.

The presence of God, ah the beautiful presence, is more than choice silver or gold, more than the air we breathe. 

Worshipping Him clothes us with protection and power, because worship honours all that He is and wishes to be in our lives.

I have know those who could not trust Him for a mate but rather thought they knew better. He allows us to choose, but do we choose life? As we wait for His provision, He is more than enough! 

He does not leave smelly socks lying around, He does not lay around and let me carry the burden, on the contrary He is the burden bearer, He is the provider.

He understands me completely, He wired me this way. He loves me as He made me but just as a raw piece of clay begs to be moulded, so do I.

All, I say all, His words are life and peace. The apostle Paul knew this and therefore was not concerned about his future, neither am I.

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
