God of Answers

Lord, God of my master Abraham, " he prayed, " give me success today, and show kindness to my master Abraham.
Let the girl to whom I say, "Please lower your water jug so that I may drink, and who also responds, "Drink, and I'll water your camels also"-let her be the one You have appointed for your servant Isaac. By this I will know You have shown kindness to my master." Genesis 24:12-14

Now we see Abraham's servant praying to God and as we read on God answers his prayer by sending Rebecca before he had finished speaking. Another person begins to see God as his God.

Rebecca acted quickly and provided for Abraham's servant and his camels. She sounds like a lovely kind woman. She is rewarded with gold. The servant then asks if there is room in her father's house for a guest and when he discovers who her father is he is smitten with God's goodness. In verse 26 he bows down to the ground and worships The Lord.

Rebecca is prepared to go with the servant on the long journey to Isaac. She believes the servant is who he says he is and is willing to become wife to a man she has never seen, brave girl!

Rebecca's family want her to stay on for another 10 days but the servant wants to leave right away. Rebecca is consulted and she is prepared to leave immediately. It is all go!

When Rebecca sees Isaac she is impressed and scripture tells us that Isaac loved her.

God has a plan and when He is ready to execute it it is all go. We can trust Him! Amen!
