A False Report

"Youist not spread a false report. Do not join the wicked to be a malicious witness.
You must not follow a crowd in wrongdoing. Do not testify in a lawsuit and go along with a crowd to pevert justice. Do not show favouritism to a poor person in his lawsuit.
If you come across your enemy's stray ox or donkey, you must return it to him.
If you see the donkey of someone who hates you lying helpless under it's load, and you want to refrain from helping it, you must help it.
You must not deny justice to a poor person among you in a lawsuit. Stay far away from a false accusation. Do not kill the innocent and the just, because I will not justify the guilty.
You must not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted and corrupts the words of the righteous. You must not oppress a foreign resident, you yourselves know how it feels to be a foreigner because you were foreigners in the land of Egypt. Exodus 23:1-9

The Lord loves justice above our feelings. Tonight I watched a pedophile killer be jailed and the governments of our states are changing the laws to allow the victims of the accused to give evidence. In the courts we see a lot of perversion of justice and many families of victims feel hopeless to bring about a just verdict. This killer was justly condemned but others have not been so for lack of evidence.

God's laws are just and allow for justice. Did you notice the verse that disallowed favouritism of the poor and another that supported the poor. What God is saying is don't allow a visible circumstance to prejuduce a verdict but allow for justice to all: poor and rich alike.

When we are told to return lost animals to our enemies, it cuts to the heart I offense. Humility deals with offence. The poor animals do not deserve abuse because on their owners.
