Cheerful Giving
So Moses summoned Bezalel, Oholiab, and every skilled person in whose heart The Lord had placed wisdom, everyone whose heart moved him to come and work and do it. They took from Moses' presence all the contributions hat the Israelites had brought for the task of making the sanctuary. Meanwhile, the people continued to bring free will offerings morning after morning.
Then all the craftsmen who were doing all the work for the sanctuary came one by one from the work they were doing and said to Moses, "The people are bringing more than is needed for the construction of the work The Lord commanded to be done,"
After Moses gave an order, they sent a proclamation throughout the camp: " Let no man or woman make any things else as an offering for the sanctuary." So the people stopped. The materials were sufficient for them to do all the work. There was more than enough, exodus 36:2-7
How good is this? Not only the best tradesmen and craftsmen were available but all the willing went into over-supply.
How many church leaders have to ask their congregation to stop giving? This was all free-will.
All giving brings a reward. In the New Testament Paul talks about offerings that are freely given with a cheerful heart and not under compulsion. These people gave cheerfully. The best experience is giving in faith and seeing God use that which has been given to rought a miracle. Praise God!
