God's Presence

Morse said to The Lord, " Look, You have told me, 'Lead these people up, but You have not let me know whom You will send with me. you said, 'I know you by name, and you have also found favour in My sight." Now if I have indeed found favour in Your sight, please teach me Your ways, and I will know You and find favour in Your sight. A now consider that this nation is Your people."
Then God replied, "My presence will go with you and give you rest."
"If Your presence does not go," Moses responded to Him, "don't make us go up from here. How will it be known that I and Your people have found favour in Your sight unless You go with us? I and Your people will be distinguished by this from all other people on the face of the earth."
The Lord answered Moses, "I will do this very thing that you have asked, for you have found favour in My sight, and I know you by name."
"Then Moses said, "Please let me see Your glory."
He said, "I will cause all My goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim the name Yahweh before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion." But He answered, "You cannot see My face, for no one can see Me and live." The Lord said, "Here is a place near Me. You are to stand on the rock, and when My glory passes by, I will put you in the crevice of the rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by. Then I will take My hand away, and you will see My back, but My face will not be seen." Exodus 33:12-23

If Abrahm had seen God, then who did he see, as he was not consumed by God? Perhaps the Son or His angel. Here Moses is encountering the God Almighty, the Father. He had a meal with God up the mountain with Aaron, Aaron's two sons and 70 elders and scripture says they saw God. However, the fact that here, Moses asks to see God, leads us to believe he was asking for more than he had, to this point.

I am glad Moses did this. Today, Sunday, as we seek The Lord, in the congregation I am encouraged to ask for more of Him. Without the Lord's presence in My life I do not want to step out, anywhere. However, the more I know His presence, the more I am willing to step out and do great exploits.

As Christians we are so blessed. We carry the presence of God inside. How awesome is that? As I release His presence into my world I create room for more of Him. Amen!

I want to be know as a woman of God, I want to be seen as a woman of presence. How about you?

If you are lacking and hungry for God there is a 'Presence Conference' in Darling Harbour, Sydney, Australia April 22-25. Log on the www.presenceconference.com. This conference is all about God's presence. You will leave refreshed and renewed. Amen!
