Who Has the Plan?

The Egyptians set out in pursuit- all Pharoah's horses, his chariots and his horsemen- all went into the sea after them. Then during the morning watch, The Lord looked down on the Egyptian forces from the pillar of fire and cloud, and threw them into confusion. he caused their chariot wheels to swerve and made them drive with difficulty. "Let's get away from Israel," the Egyptians said, " because Yahweh is fighting for them against Egypt!"
Then The Lord said to Moses, "Stretch out you hand over the sea so that the waters may come back on the Egyptians, on their chariots and horsemen," so Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and at daybreak the sea returned to its normal depth. While the Egyptians were trying to escape from it, The Lord threw them into the sea. The waters came back and covered the chariots and horseman, the entire army of Pharoah, that had gone into the sea after them. None of them survived. But the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground, with waters like a wall to them on their right and their left.
That day The Lord saved Israel from the power of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.
When Israel saw the great power that The Lord used against the Egyptians, the people feared The Lord and believed in Him and in His servant Moses. Exodus 23-31

What a story! This story has been the inspiration of many a movie.  Ghetto story tells of God's faithfulness and power to do all He said He would do.

Many a miracle is waiting for us who believe and stay firm in our faith. Our enemies will be routed and brought low as we make them submit to the lordship of Christ, Moses was being firm with himself and e Israelites to obey and not delay. Sitting and doing an appraisal of God's performance is not where it is at when action is required.

Egypt foolishly went after Israel when it was obvious that their God was protecting them and providing for them, Egypt was not clever. Yet sin inspired action from our enemy is never clever. It is full of rage, arrogance, pride, destruction and plain stupidity.

Our God is for us. He is clever, wise, calm, cool and collected. He has the big plan, the detail and all we have to do is follow. Amen!
