Aaron Dies

After they set out from Kadesh, the entire Israelite community came to Mount Hor. The Lord said to Moses and Aaron at Mount Hor, on the border of the land of Edom: "Aaron will be gathered to his people; he will not enter the land I have given to the Israelites, because you both rebelled against My command at the waters of Meribah. Take Aaron and his son Eleazer and bring them up Mount Hor. Remove Aaron's garments and put them on Eleazer. Aaron will be gathered to his people and die there." Numbers 20:22

The people's rebellion was grumbling, complaining and failing to have faith in God. This they did with regular occurrence. Moses and Aaron became angry with the people for their complaining and struck the rock instead of speaking to it. Their judgement was just as important as the faithless because they failed to trust te Lord to judge the people, they entered His territory and judged them. This caused them to miss out on entering the promised land.

The life of a leader is stricter, God has higher standards for His leaders. This is why leadership is not for everyone. Leadership is not a breeze, an easy path, quite the opposite. Jesus said the greatest among you must be the servant of all.

We are encouraged to pray for our leaders so that things will go well for us. Good advice. Remember if things are not to you liking understand you don't have the full picture and pray God's mercy and grace on your leaders. Amen!
