Atoning Sacrifice

God presented Him as a propitiation through faith in His blood, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His restraint God passed over the sins previously committed. God presented Him to demonstrate Gus righteousness at the present time, so that He would be righteous and declare righteous the one who has faith in Jesus. Romans 3:25,26

Feel overwhelmed by this? It is so thick with meaning and our feeble minds have become lazy and unwilling to think, we find ourselves severely challenged by it.

Hang in there! Jesus is our peace who has broken down every wall. The coming of Christ stayed God's wrath, that is how powerful it was to be. Even when men went their own way, God looked down through time to the day Jesus would say: "it is finished!"

The perfection of Christ's sacrifice was such that not only all who come after have been given this free gift, all that went before were in Paradise waiting for Him and He came. After His death He descended and took captive the captives who were being held for such a time. He set them free from sin and took them with Him to eternity to be with Him.

David wrote:'how joyful are those whose lawless acts are forgiven and whose sins are covered! How joyful is the man The Lord will never charge with sin.' Psalm 32:1,2

When God presented Christ, He presented His righteousness and that righteousness is for anyone who will believe on Jesus. Amen!

How good is God!
