Accepted in the Family

I will call Not My People, My People, and she who is Unloved, Beloved.
And it will be in the place where they are told, 'you are not my people, there they will be called sons of the living God. Romans 9:26

Chapter 9 is dealing with who are the true sons and daughters of God. Paul explains that since Christ, any who are not of the Jewish faith and those who are, who all accept Christ, by faith, are the true sons and daughters of God.

Just as a true Christian is one who lives by faith not by being born to parents who believe.

It is faith that moves our God, nothing more nothing less. We can love God but for some reason believe ourselves unworthy and not apply faith. This is a true tragedy!

I am a child of the living God because I have taken the seed of faith He gave me, planted it in the soil of the word and speak its truth over my life. This is where I live, must live!

As a result I am a blessed child of God. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
