I am His

For those He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers. And those He predestined, he also called; and those He called, He also justified; and those He justified, He also glorified. Romans 8:29,30

I am grateful He knew me, predestined me, called me, justified me and I  will be glorified.

In my youth I search in darkness for Him, but He was there leading me to Himself. Without the hunger and desperation before finding Him I would not experience the joy of finding Him. Every time I remember His coming I rejoice. He was, all the while, joyfully leading me to Himself. I am grateful! He could see and He still can see the end. I long for the completion, the glorification. As Paul said, I am in a temporal tent, this body which will decay, but when I see Him face to face I will have a new body. Ah! One that will last for an eternity, without wearing out. No more pain!

Today is a new day. Each day is a step closer to Him. Last night I posted about the rough day I had had  and how I  knew a new test would come today. It did! At 6.38am. I passed! Amen! This time I went to The Lord and asked Him how to respond. Gentle words turn away wrath. Now, the rest of this day is His. Let's see what I can do for His glory!

My body is responding to faith, it is mending and functioning like it should. Praise God!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
