Paying Our Way

Pay your obligations to everyone: taxes to those you owe taxes, tolls to those you owe tolls, respect to those you owe respect, honour to those you owe honour. Do not owe anyone anything, except to love one another, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. The commandments: do not commit murder; do not steal; do not covet ; and whatever other commandment- all are summed up by this: love your neighbour as yourself.
Love does no wrong to a neighbour. Love therefore, is the fulfilment of the law.
Romans 13:7-10

These verse hem us in to righteous behaviour. We cannot excuse ourselves and make exceptions to the rules. They all apply to us.

Therefore learning to love with agape love ( God's kind of love, merciful, gracious love) seems a given imperative, we have no option.

Modern man looks to feather his own jest and build protections around it. The:
'If it feels good, do it code' does not fit
In the Kingdom of God where sacrifice and service are the codes of conduct. Doing right often impinges on self satisfaction and self righteousness. In fact doing right can be downright painful.

In the last few days I wrote about vengeance and allowing God room. In one area I had done this was in the inequity of the law around my bike accident on 1 May. A man I know came up to me today and said the biking community are not happy with the law and they are going to bat for me. Nice! I did not ask for it but others are fighting for me.

Our God loves it when we give Him room, give Him a wide margin. Amen!
