The Plan

During His earthly life (Jesus), He offered prayers and appeals with loud cries and tears to the One who was able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverence. Though He was God's Son, He learned obedience through what He suffered. After He was perfected, He became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey Him, and He was declared by God a high priest in the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 5:7-10

 Do you see what I see? Do you hear what I hear? Jesus' prayer was heard, because of His reverence BUT the plan was the plan was the plan was the plan!!!! 

What does this mean to me? If Christ could not change the plan, can I? Well, I could refuse, Jesus could have refused, but He loved the Father and us so much, He would not, His only recourse was to change the plan. Did He succeed? NO! Why not? Because the Father loved us more! The Father knew there was no other way, the Son knew, in His heart, there was no other way. I, in my heart of hearts know there is no other way. There is only One Way. That way is the way of the cross.

There are many times I do not understand but choose to trust that my God knows the timing and that it is His department. His timing is always best because His provision is always best.

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
