Wake Up

Beside this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed. The night is far gone, the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armour of light. Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarrelling and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires. Romans 13: 11-14

What can I say? Ditto Paul! Preach it Paul!

Jesus said: 'if you love Me, you will keep my commands.' John 14;15

Guys, it is down to this: Do we love our own life more than our Lord? If we do then we pander to our sensual appetites. Yet, if we are sold out to Him, then there is nowhere we will go and nothing we will not do. Even if it means, stay in your marriage and be faithful and go to work at the same job you have had for 20 years.

We have to face our frustrations head on. What is the real cause? You may find it is not your spouse or your boss but in fact you. Go to God and let Him give you His perspective.

Our God will not allow anything to come our way, we cannot handle. We have all we need in Him. Humble yourself and submit to His hand. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
