A God Above all Others

"Therefore fear The Lord and worship Him in sincerity and truth. Get rid of the gods  your fathers worshipped beyond the Euphrates River in Egypt, and worship Yahweh. But if it doesn't please you to worship Yahweh, choose for yourselves today the one you will worship: the gods your fathers worshipped beyond the Euphrates River or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are now living. As for me and my family, we will worship Yahweh." Joshua 24:14,15

When we move into a new experience, a new land or up a level we always have to choose who we will give our devotion to. Young children growing up in a house where the father takes them to church often resent not being able to do their own thing and please themselves. Later this may develop into rebellion and a choice to walk away from church and honouring The Lord. However, they do not reckon on a loving God pursuing them or a praying parent.

I am grateful that my God gave me a hunger for Him and He pursued me. I am grateful for the ability to now pray for grandchildren. My God is good.

There is no god: mammon, ease,
self, that satisfies like my God. He is greater and more satisfying than any other. Honour Him today. Amen!
