Enabling Grace

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us hold on to grace. By it we may serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12:28,29

How do I hold on to grace? Well, first I must have it. How to I get it? Buy it like wisdom and never let it go.

I must shop at the right place. I wonder where is that? Is it on TV? Is it at the movies? The club? In a book? Well, you are getting warmer. There is only one book that will lead to it, the Word of God, the Bible. Yet, the book in itself does not have it, it speaks about it but does not give it. There where do I find it?

Jesus said: 'my grace is sufficient for you.' Ok! Jesus! Yes but how do I get it from Him? Perhaps if I ask Him for it? Yes! Asking believing and you will receive.

So what does grace look like? Grace is love for the unlovely, forgiveness for the unforgivable, mercy for the merciless, peace for the troubled, healing for the broken, strength for the weak. Get the picture?

Ok! But where do I keep this grace? How do I store it? Grace lives in our hearts, minds and bodies. Enabling, empowering, uplifting, joyous grace.

Can I lose it? Yes but a repentant heart will always find it close at hand. It is never far away, always ready and willing to be available, at all times.

So, as I live in grace I can serve The Lord acceptably? Yes! It is like the wearing of a beautiful garment that makes you recognizable. When you wear a beautiful garment you feel like a million dollars, that is what grace does for you. Amen!
