God's Strategy

The Lord said to Joshua, "Do not be afraid or discouraged. Take the whole military force with you and go and attack Ai, his people, city and land. Treat Ai and it's king as you did Jericho and it's king; you may plunder its spoil and livestock for yourselves. Set an ambush behind the city." Joshua 8:1,2

The first time the Israelites went out against Ai they were defeated because one of the men had secretly disobeyed God's order not to take anything from Jericho, now, after having dealt with the man and his family they were given permission to take spoils.

This time, again, as with Jericho, God have them a strategy. The strategy worked, of course. Previously they had gone in ther own understanding.

We are constantly faced with challenges and things we must conquer. How will I do this? I am facing challenges because I do not have all the answers, but God does. He has me out of my depth, a good place to be, for here, I rely on Him.

This week I look to travel to Brisbane (some 500 odd kilometers) as I am needed by family. I have only just started driving again after a fractured pelvis and last week was a challenge. I know I will go and so now I have to look to Him for a strategy.

I have things at work challenging me,
It all has to do with compliance and order. I want it and need to institute a system. Systems!!!! Ahhhh! I want them, need them but they do not come naturally. I do not have someone with a mind for systems, yet, to help. So I am it! Dangerous! So therefore I must rely on my God for wisdom. 'Praise God' I hear you say. Amen to that!
