Pray and Say
The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. As it is written in Isaiah the prophet:
'Look, I am sending My messenger ahead of You,
Who will prepare Your way.
A voice of one crying out in the wilderness:
"Prepare the way for The Lord;
Make His paths straight!"
John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem were flocking to him, and they were baptized by him in the Jordan River as they confessed their sins. Mark 1:1-5
I wonder what made John, a man who dressed in Camel hair, eating locusts and wild honey believable? He preached a message of repentance. What made the people realize their sins and want to repent? Was it the promised Messiah?
I imagine the Holy Spirit was in on the action, going before John and preparing hearts. What caused Him to do that? Prayer! Whose prayer? John's, Jesus', Mary's perhaps.
All of this was to make way for Jesus, the people were expecting Him.
What is happening now? World-wide evangelism. Why? Preparing the way for The Lord once again.
I note that Daniel Kolenda of Christ for all Nations is soon to do a crusade on the Gold Coast. Praise God! Will Graham just did a crusade in Broken Hill, I believe.
Men and women of God are rising up and proclaiming Christ and preparing the way for a great harvest. Praise God!
Yesterday I saw an interview of an Iranian who is being used mightily by God to win the lost in Iran. Praise God! We might hear all the wicked things the enemy is plotting but behind the scenes the gospel is being preached.
What is my role? To pray and to say! I have a voice and I will pray for the lost and speak to them whenever I can. Amen!
