Prophetic Coming

Therefore, as He was coming into the world, He said:
You did not want sacrifice and offering, but You prepared a body for Me.
You did not delight in whole burnt offerings and sin offerings.
Then I said, "See- it is written about Me in the volumes of the scroll- I have come to do You will, God!" Hebrews 10:5-7

Isn't this interesting phraseology: 'therefore as He was coming into the world, He said.' The scripture referred to comes from Psalm 40:6-8. The seed of the Messiah was in King David who penned the psalm 1003 odd  years before Christ was born. 

What are you speaking over your family and the seed therein? What is coming forth?

'See it is written about Me in the volumes of the Scroll,' could well refer to Old Testament scripture. Jesus is the gold thread woven throughout the Old Testament, the tantalising promise of more, much more.

I have discovered a dish called Deconstructed Sushi, it is full of flavones that tantalize the taste buds, schallits, lemon juice, soy sauce and more over rice, salad and smoked salmon. This is just a dish which is eaten in 10 minutes and gone. But here we have a tantalising revelation of a beauty, an eternal flavor that never leaves, it beckons, woos, invites to more.

I am blessed that my Saviour is woven into this Psalm by his forebear David. The link blesses me. I am grateful that my Lord shows Himself throughout the Old Testament and then really reveals the Father in the New. He said: 'I have come to do Your will, God.' 

Thank You Jesus! Thank You for Your humility and servanthood. You draw me after You. You make a way for me to follow You in service to mankind. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
