Righteousness From Faith
By faith Noah, after he was warned about what was not yet seen and motivated by godly fear, built an ark to deliver his family. By faith he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith. Hebrews 11:7
Noah was an old man when Gid spoke to him about building a boat, inland, not near water and he had never experienced rain. Do you think people thought he was looney? Yes! But who was in the boat and who drowned? The critics died, Noah lived.
Isn't it interesting that righteousness. comes by faith, not works? What does that mean to you? Do you think that because you do not swear you are righteous; because you go to church; because you give? Where does righteousness come from? From faith in God, a God who delivers and makes right.
Yet faith requires action. Faith in the spoken word of God requires an action. The action demonstrates faith and results in righteousness. Amen!
Are you a Noah? I am not quite as old but yes I believe I am, because I am stepping out in faith in a word from God. I am glad I do not have to build a boat, just a business.
