The Rabble Can Get it Right.....Sometimes

By faith the Israelites crossed the Red Sea as though they were on dry land. When the Egyptians attempted to do this, they were drowned. By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after being encircled by the Israelites for seven days. Hebrews 11:29,30

We know the Israelites were a complaining rabble but they had moments of glory. When they shut up and followed they were brilliant. What does this say to is?

Abraham and Moses receive the most accolades from the author of Hebrews, so I'd hazard to guess that The Lord thought them worth following, without opinion. Although our culture touts freedom of speech as an integral right, sometimes it is wasted on complaining and we are best to shut up and follow.

Moses heard vision from God, he did crazy stuff. He took a few million men, women and children into a sea and then a desert. Naturally this type of thinking is nuts, unless GOD is involved.

Natural minds therefore criticised Moses and suffered the penalty. There were those who were bitten by snakes, others the ground opened and swallowed them whole. Complaining does not stack up with faith, it is the antithesis. Complaining begs the stick, whereas faith is praised.

As The Lord said: 'today I put life and death before you, choose life that you might live.'

Choose wisely!
