Honouring the Holy Spirit

"Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemies they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of eternal sin"-for they were saying, "He has an unclean spirit. Mark 3:28-30

The Scribes were saying that Jesus was possessed by Beelzebul (Satan) and using this power to cast out demons. Jesus refuted this with: "How can Satan cast out Satan?" If a kingdom is divided against itself it cannot stand.

Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit and did miracles by the power of the Holy Spirit. When they condemned the works Jesus did they were condemning the Holy Spirit.

Standing against the move of the Holy Spirit is not clever and unforgiveable, according to Jesus and He would know.

What is the Holy Spirit trying to do in our lives? our churches? What are we allowing Him to do? What are we limiting Him in doing?

I, personally, am disturbed by people taking the Lord's name in vain, yet Jesus is willing to forgive this. Yet He protects the workings of the Holy Spirit, this He honours.
