Kingdom Ways
The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to Him all that they had done and taught. He said to them, "Come away by yourselves to a remote place and rest for awhile." For many people were coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat. So they went away in the boat by themselves to a remote place, but many saw them leaving and recognised them. People ran there by land from all the towns and arrived ahead of them. So as He stepped ashore, He saw a huge crowd and had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. Then He began to teach them many things. Mark 6:30-34
Today was my first day back at work and much was happening. I was at about 3pm and feeling tired as I had been awake since around 4am when I received a call from a lovely lady I am helping with insurance claims. This lady had had a disastrous day and people who are opposing her made it worse. Although I was tired my heart went out to her and I welcomed her in. I was on the telephone for over an hour with the claims department with the insurance company pleading her case. Protocols were insisting on giving away what was hers to someone who was wickedly rorting the system. The unfairness of the matter was heavy and made my tiredness worse yet I kept whispering to The Lord: "You are good and You can do it for her, I trust you!" I refused to go under my clients circumstances but trust The Lord.
I had a visitor come to stay tonight and decided to enjoy and I did. My visitor brought me am unexpected gift.
Jesus was teaching His disciples the ways of the Kingdom. Although tired and hungry, they ministered again. Compassion lifts us up and enables us to go again. We cannot allow the 'poor me' attitude in, seek Him for the strength and go again. Amen!
