The Farmer
And He said: "The Kingdim of God is as if a man should scatter seed upon the ground. He sleeps and rises night and day and the seed grows, he knows not how. The earth produces by itself, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear. But when the grain is ripe he at once puts in the sickle because the harvest has come. Mark 4:26-29
If I am the farmer and scatter seed I am doing what I am born to be. I don't know what the harvest will look like until the end of my days. If I refuse to scatter seed until I consider the climate good, it may never happen. I must speak and sow in season and out of season.
Unlike the natural farmer who only sows at set times, usually twice a year for a winter harvest and a summer harvest, I sow all the time.
If I sow to righteousness then I will reap a righteous reward, but conversely, if I sow to the flesh I will reap corruption. Amen!
I am sowing something even if I hold back from sowing the seeds of the Kingdom, I am still sowing.
I know many who sow a humanist gospel, a do good, feel good, gospel. This is not the gospel of truth and will not win souls. Amen
I must live and breathe Christ.
