An Extraordinary Spirit

Darius decided to appoint 110 satraps over the kingdom, stationed throughout the realm, and over them three administrators, including Daniel. These satraps would be accountable to them so that the king would not be defrauded. Daniel distinguished himself above the administrators and satraps because he had an extraordinary spirit, so the king planned to set him over the whole realm. Daniel 6:1-3

Daniel was now 82. Most pictures show him as a younger man but he was by now 82. 82 and still in government because he had an extraordinary spirit.
How good is this?

Isn't it amazing that when you adopt an extraordinary spirit you are noticed. Daniel had this spirit for the very first days in Babylon at age 15. Throughout his life leaders called on and respected him, he was given authority over the land, God have him the ability to interpret dreams.

We can choose to follow the crowd or follow our God. As Joshua said: this day you must choose who you will serve either the gods of the nations around you or the God of heaven.

Our choice boils down to: do I want to be in charge and call the shots or submit my life to Christ. The choice I make will determine the outcome. Amen!
