Prayer for Restoration
In the first year of Darius, the son of Ahaserus, a Mede by birth, who was ruler over the Kingdom of the Chaldeans: in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood from the books according to the word of The Lord to Jeremiah the prophet, that the number of years for the desatuon of Jerusalem would be 70. So I turned my attention to The Lord God to seek Him by prayer and petitions, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes. Daniel 9:1-3
Even though there was a prophesy that the time of captivity would be 70 years, Daniel did not rest back and just expect he went to prayer.
When God speaks into our world, gives us a prophesy and we want to see it come to pass we can partner with Him through prayer, fasting and petition. We cannot manipulate the time because we are over the wait but by faithfulness and partnership with God we can see His Kingdom come. Amen!
Catching God's heart is the start and praying His will is the next.
I know as I allow God to direct my heart in prayer I have carried many burdens to birthing of answers. These are the best sort.
Daniel was a man of passion for God and prayer. He may well be responsible for the release of his people from captivity. We cannot underestimate the power of prayer.
