In ancient times oil and insence were a real pleasure, now we could say a massage, a hot spa, a foot massage instead but best of all is counsel from a good friend.
A good friend is hard to find. Too many are too self-consumed or busy with their own little wheel. A good friend is a rare find. Therefore their counsel would be sweet indeed.
To find a good friend, I must first be one. Amen!
Self-counsel is important but can be unreliable, we need outside perspective because so often we are consumed with our circumstances and if our foundation is wrong then the counsel we give ourselves will be wrong also.
