Awake My Soul

I heard but did not understand. So I asked, My Lord, what will be the outcome of these things?"
He said, "Go on your way, Daniel, for the words are secret and sealed until the time of the end. Many will be purified, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked will act wickedly: none of the wicked will understand, but the wise will understand. Daniel 12:8-10

Today I am grateful to those who prayed me into the kingdom, so grateful!

This morning in worship I was listening to a Chris Tomlin song- Awake my Soul- at least he was singing it. For my God so loved the world that He gave His only Son. May I so love the world that I give.

My prayer is that deaf ears are opened,
Blind eyes will see and be saved.

I must love the lost to salvation and beyond. I look out on the Peel Valley before me and see men and women scurrying along like ants, off to work or sport or who knows where. My prayer for them is that they will have ears to hear.

Today I teach scripture and am mindful of the sea of souls my God has given me and am grateful. May I preach the gospel with life, may deaf ears be open and hear salvation calling. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
